IPL 2020: List of 10 most expensive players

Auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2020 was held in Kolkata on Thursday, December 2019.

According to reports, a total of 62 players were sold for the season 2020 in the fierce mini-auction.

The eight IPL franchises that include Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, grabbed the players from Australia, South Africa, England and West Indies took part in the bidding.

Over 135 crore were spent to grab 62 players, including 33 Indians.

Australian player Pat Cummins was the most expensive foreign player. He was grabbed by Kolkata Knight Riders for 15.50 crore.

Pat was followed by Glenn Maxwell. He was auctioned for Kings XI Punjab (10.75 crore).

Other top players include Chris Morris, (Royal Challengers Bangalore for 10.00 crore); Sheldon Cottrell (Kings XI Punjab for 8.50 crore); Nathan Coulter-Nile (Mumbai Indians for 8.00 crore); Shimron Hetmyer (Delhi Capitals for 7.75 crore); Piyush Chawla (Chennai Super Kings (6.75 crore); Sam Curran (Chennai Super Kings for 5.50 crore); Eoin Morgan (Kolkata Knight Riders for 5.25 crore) and Marcus Stoinis (Delhi Capitals for 4.80 crore).
